02/18/17 Biscayne Island, FL

This is a nice little spot on the water to stop and spend a night...
Bob and I were thinking about staying here next year.....
However, they are booked for a year or more in advance...
There are two other hotels nearby...but after checking around
we figured out why they were so booked!  They charge $197 a night,
one of the other ones (available) was $297, and the third also available
was $347...yikes!
This looks like a homemade catamaran...

Today happens to be the beginning of the Miami boat show....
Marine Stadium (inlet in picture) is where part of the show is..
there are hundreds of boats everywhere!  Anchoring here is like
anchoring at Hart Miller Island...they just come in for the day
and play....and all leave except for the mega-yachts and us :-)
by the end of the night!

No Name Harbor is surrounded by the park....we thought
about anchoring here but as soon as Bob pulled in and saw
all the boats...he just laughed and said "well we already know how
I feel about this place" and we immediately did a U-turn and left!
It does look like a great place to stay though....you have a place
to put your yacht and camp!

We stayed at Hart Miller instead :-)
Kids out on their own little sailboats....
When they are done for the day a dinghy ties them
all together and pulls them back in!

Another good day on the water.  Bob saw two dolphins and we both saw the manatee.  The weather has been just perfect for us.  Tomorrow we are ocean bound and hope to get to West Palm Beach!
